Solution
The modern periodic table is more advanced than Mendeleev's periodic table because of the following reasons:
1.Mendeleev's Table: Elements were arranged based on increasing atomic mass.
Modern Table: Elements are organized according to increasing atomic number (the number of protons in the nucleus)
2.Mendeleev's Table: Included about 63 known elements at the time.
Modern Table: Contains approximately 118 elements, reflecting discoveries made since Mendeleev's time.
Differences between p-block and s-block elements are:
| p-block | s-block |
| 1. The p-block elements have p-sub-shell as the last orbital. | 1. The s-block elements have s-sub-shell as the last orbital. |
| 2.They can have 1 to 6 electrons in the last sub-shell. | 2.They can have 1 or 2 electrons in the last sub-shell. |
